Small private jets are very popular these days, and for a good reason. These small business jets are a good choice for a short distance flight and have a great value for money. Many of our clients prefer a small plane hire rather than a big one because of these small aircrafts’ many advantages.
All about a small plane hire
First, know that a small private plane does not mean it’s tiny. Most of the small aircrafts are “Stand up cabin” – which means one can stand inside the aircraft without bending. The standard definition is 1.70 meters height but there are also some serious business jets with a cabin height above 1.96 meter. Basketball players might find themselves bending a bit while standing but most of the population will find that this cabin height is more than enough. Moreover, remember that usually people prefer to sit to lay down during a flight.
Another advantage a small private plane has is its’ width: these top 5 small jets listed below are wide and very comfortable for a short flight. No need to squeeze and there is plenty of room for everyone and their luggage (unless you’re trying to move a house).
Who should take a small private jet?
The best thing about small private jets is that they offer a private flight for most the people. The average private flight is two and a half hours (for both leisure and business), and the small business jets are a perfect match for that – they can fly for around three and a half hours until they need to fill the gas tank. But for some reason, some still prefer the big aircrafts for these short flights.
Just for your reference, a small private plane can fly from Tel Aviv (Israel) to Rome (Italy), Budapest (Hungary), Athens (Greece) or Prague (Czech Republic) – These are short flights which small private jets give a very good value for money for.
But it is not only the close destinations that are optional with small business jets. It is possible to use the aircrafts for more distant destinations if you don’t mind having a stop on the way for gas. For a matter of fact, we have a costumer who is so pleased with one of our small aircrafts (a Citation) that he uses it for long flights and make the necessary stops on the way. The reason is that it’s just cheaper than the bigger ones, even with the stop.
A few things to know
The small private jets’ price is lower than the big or mid-sized ones. You should also keep in mind that most of these aircrafts are for 8 or 9 passengers, which means that the more people are on board the cheaper the flight is for every passenger.
And just one last thing to keep in mind before we go to our list of favorite small business jets: because of their size, most of these jets don’t include a flight attendant. Another person on board will make things too crowded and we wish our costumers will have a lot of space for all their needs. The only exception is the Hawker which usually is accompanied with a flight attendant. But even without a flight attendant the flight is still very luxurious with an excellent catering of your choice, VIP lounge at the airport and above all the comforts of a private flight.
